As always, it was a pleasure to mingle with our Romanian-speaking countrymen, to see how much the children of our community had grown since we last met, and to raise each other spirits with the humor we carry with us no matter where we go in the world. Many thanks to the organizer, Emilia Tugulea, and all of those who took the time to come to the picnic.
The Moldovan Harvest Festival (Octover 4, 2014) was the first large-scale vent organized by the Molovan Community in California. The goal of the festival was to bring awareness to the general public of San Francisco the existence of the Moldovan community in the San Francisco Bay Area, and to promote Moldova’s national values abroad. We were pleased to gather approximately 500 people at the festival, with representatives of local Moldovan, Ukrainian, Georgian, Greek, Russian, and American communities.
